ABOUT ARNOLD
After thirteen years in advertising, I can take a culturally specific idea from first thought to finished frame without it turning generic somewhere along the way.
When the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation needed a film one month before their gala, I threw out the traditional format and let real voices lead. Mark Cuban called it eye-opening. That year, they hit their goal of $135.6 million in revenue.
Dallas. Open to New York, California, Chicago, and Texas opportunities. Remote, hybrid, or freelance.

EXPERIENCE
COPYWRITER DIESTE 2026 to Present
Writing for the Cricket Wireless national account at Ad Age's Multicultural Agency of the Year. Developing campaign concepts, scripts, and social content inside the brand's HBCU platform, grounded in the specifics of Black college culture.
KEY PROJECTS
WWE Penta Sponsorship: I worked on the US Hispanic campaign for Cricket's sponsorship of WWE star Penta, collaborating with director Dave Meyers on the film work from pre-production to final edits and organic social videos.
Black Music Month x Pandora: I wrote the video and audio creative for Cricket's Black Music Month campaign on Pandora, adapting one idea across watch and listen contexts. I built copy that respects the setting with seconds to earn its place inside someone's soundtrack.
HBCU Brand Guidelines: I worked on the voice and messaging guidelines for Cricket's HBCU work, defining how the brand should sound across all touchpoints for our Black college audiences. Codified tone, language, and cultural guardrails so every team writing on the platform starts from the same truth.
Streaming Partnerships: Developed campaign copy for Cricket collaborations with SiriusXM, Pandora, and Spotify, writing custom audio and branded content platform by platform. I kept one brand voice consistent across three services with three different listening cultures.
TTL, Radio & TV: I wrote for TTL banner campaigns, radio spots, and television work across the account's ongoing business, moving between full broadcast scripts and four-word display copy, keeping the brand's smile intact at every size. The volume work that keeps a national carrier's voice sharp between campaigns.
COPYWRITER / SCREENWRITER FREELANCE 2023 to Present
Writing, directing, and shaping creative strategy for consumer brands and nonprofits, leading every project from concept through final cut.
KEY PROJECTS
Walmart Black and Unlimited: Led internal HBCU research and creative strategy for Walmart's Black and Unlimited platform across Contender Labs, Digitas, and The Community. Interviewed HBCU students directly and turned those conversations into the guidance that taught three agency teams how to write to Black college culture.
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: Created an eight minute fundraising film for the foundation's Dallas gala on a one month timeline, making the call to cut voiceover and narration so the families could carry the story themselves. The gala beat its fundraising target, and Mark Cuban called the film "eye-opening."
MIZIZI #DiasporaDiaries: Pitched, cast, and directed a four-episode documentary mini-series for the heritage apparel brand's Black History Month campaign. Chose four subjects whose stories tied heritage to the present day: a queer African makeup artist, a Jamaican creative, an Afro Latina singer, and a plus-size African American model. Partnered with the brand's social lead to launch the series across its website, YouTube, and Instagram, positioning MIZIZI as a cultural storyteller instead of a brand borrowing significance from a calendar date.
SCREENWRITING
Developing feature screenplays: psychological dramas with suspense elements, worlds built from scratch and voice modulated for specific audiences. Recognized by the Sundance Institute screenwriting program: "The world and tone are clear and specific. The visual storytelling is exciting, and it is clear why it should be on screen. It is fresh and compelling."
CREATIVE DIRECTOR ALAMOCHA LIVE 2015 to 2019
Led creative for a social media and production studio serving clients across banking, healthcare, beauty, food, and nonprofit work: VistaBank, NuuvoHealth, Yummy Extensions, Cafe Izmir, American Heart Association, Dallas Millennial Gala, Destiny Foundation, and Night of Superstars. Set creative strategy, concepting, and content direction across every account.
VistaBank: Led the creative behind the bank's collaboration with the Dallas Millennial Gala with CEO John Steinmetz, anchoring the campaign in a trust insight and landing an earned segment on Good Morning Texas.
Yummy Extensions: Worked on the beauty brand’s marketing from product features to collaborating with Angela Simmons and Lira Galore. Letting the lifestyle sell the hair.
American Heart Association: Created the promotional film for the association’s Dallas 5K run: emotion earned on screen, all written and produced inside the organization’s legal review process.
PRINCIPAL CINEMATOGRAPHER BEST PART FILMS 2013 to 2023
